Millennius Goes Old School With PC Towers Running Ubuntu

title=Unless you build your own PC (or get one made from your local PC store), or you want a high-end gaming machine, it’s pretty uncommon to find PC towers on the market. But online retailer Millennius has bucked that trend, launch five new tower PCs, all of them running Ubuntu.

Prices range from $299 for a Celeron powered machine with a 500GB HDD and 2GB RAM, all the way up to $989 for a Sandy Bridge Core i7, 8GB RAM and a 1TB HDD. All five models come in the same tower body – black with blue LEDs – but there’s no room for customisation before handing over the cash.

In a world where laptops are the norm and high end gaming machines really want to be running Windows out of the box, is there a market for this kind of product?
