Man accidentally shoots himself in White Co.

ROMANCE, AR (KAIT) - The White County Sheriff's Department has ruled that the victim in a deadly Wednesday morning shooting accidentally shot himself.

Chief Deputy Phillip Miller said the sheriff's department identified the victim as Donald Fletcher Rouse, 20, of Romance. Rouse was found to have an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Witness interviews, evidence and the preliminary autopsy report led authorities to conclude that Rouse accidentally shot himself.

According to the sheriff's department, no arrest are expected to be made. The prosecuting attorney will receive a complete investigative file, as well as the full autopsy and toxicology results.

First responders were called to the 100 block of Swink Lane in Romance around 2:30 Wednesday morning in reference to a person with a gunshot wound.

Deputies said they found Rouse in the front yard of the home.
