Pedestrian Killed in Forestville Crash

The woman was taken to local hospital where she was pronounced dead early Saturday morning.

Update 9:00 p.m.: The victim of the fatal pedestrian crash has been Dorothy Lewis-Gray, 47, of the 6500 block of Hill Mar Drive in District Heights. Lewis-Gray attempted to cross the roadway in the 7100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, when she was struck by a vehicle. As Lewis-Gray was laying in the roadway, she was struck by a second vehicle.  

The first vehicle that struck Lewis-Gray remained on the scene; however, the second striking vehicle fled the scene.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Original Post - 3:56 p.m. - Police are seeking information on the second striking vehicle.  A preliminary investigation revealed that the second vehicle is dark in color.  Two black males, 5’7- 5’9, ages 25 -30 were observed inside the fleeing vehicle.

Prince George's County Police responded to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Donnell Drive in Forestville at 11:54 p.m. on Friday night after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, according to reports from police.

Upon arrival, police found an unresponsive woman lying in the road, she was then transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The vehicle that struck the victim remained on the scene.

Investigators from the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit are continuing the investigation, the identity of the victim hasn't been released at this time.
