Update 10:11 p.m.: Washington County Sheriff's Office confirms at least one person has died. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue confirms the number of people injured and vehicles involved.

A woman, 20, was killed in a multi-vehicle crash at Tualatin Valley Highway and Southwest 185th Avenue in Aloha that sent several people to area hospitals Tuesday night, authorities said.

It was not immediately clear whether the woman was among the seven people transported to area hospitals.

Four of the people involved in the crash sustained life-threatening injuries; three sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to Piseth Pich, a spokesman for Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue. They've all been taken to local hospitals as Washington County Sheriff's Office investigators look into what led to the crash.

"We're asking people to please stay away, but we're also asking people who may have been a witness to please contact the sheriff's office [at 503-629-0111]," said Sgt. Bob Ray, spokesman for the sheriff's office.

Preliminary investigation suggests that a truck heading eastbound "did not make any attempt to slow down or stop," said Ray. That truck crashed into several vehicles, which crashed into other vehicles. The truck overturned. The other vehicles received extensive damages.

Seven vehicles were involved in the crash, Pich said. People were trapped in three vehicles, according to a tweet from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, although it was unclear how many were trapped at the time.

The intersection of Tualatin Valley Highway and Southwest 185th Avenue is expected to remain closed until 1 a.m., and traffic in the area is moving slowly.

This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
