- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2010I purchased this book as a Christmas gift for my dad. He hasn't received it yet but I'm sure he'll get a kick out of it. I, of course, had to preview the book and enjoyed most the jokes I read. Out of the, let's say ten, jokes I read, most were the longer (but not too long; just a few paragraphs) story-type, all were new to me and all were funny. There will be a few groaners, and the adult-only jokes are conveniently marked with a darkly bordered page. My only complaint is that the book is a little smaller that I realized -- roughly 4"x6" where the text may be a little small for older eyes. All in all, a good buy and a great gift for any joke-ster who may need some friendly tips and a new repertoire.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2014So I was a little skeptical about this mini pocket companion, but I went ahead and got it as a stocking stuffer for my dad. I figured despite his incredible memory for jokes that there would be some in here that he hadn't heard before and I was right!
A lot of the jokes are 'story like' and need to be told from the book unless you can summarize them to re-tell in an "ultimate joke opportunity" kind of situation. Some are a little rude and only adult appropriate which you can only expect from a book about jokes every man should know.
Most people will see from the related searches which pop up that this book is part of a series. There are some that I much ruder so I find this one in good taste and we had some laughs with friends when the book came out.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2013I put this is my husband's stocking for Christmas. He keeps it in the car glove box and tells me jokes when we carpool together to work. He even finds a couple for our kids in there every once in a while (What's brown & sticky? A stick!). Most of them are really funny and ones we haven't heard before. I'll be picking up a few more copies for Grandpa and my brothers.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2015The introduction of this book had me laughing. Mr. Steinberg knows how to write, and how to write funny, and his taste in jokes are impeccable.
I've heard versions of some of these during the past four decades, and it was delightful to read them in this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2017Totally tasteless and not even finny, many jokes older than my grandparents, swearing and low level jokes about sex, prostitutes, blow jobs, hand jobs, funerals and so on. My elementary schooler discovered it and I was pretty shocked to find out about it.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2017The book is nicely made and feels good in your hand. Beyond that it's pretty sad. The book claims it's not full of raunchy jokes, so I don't know what they consider raunchy but we have a different definition. I'm not saying every joke is raunchy but there are enough of them peppered in there that it's not worth the read. I've read other books from the publisher like "Stuff Every Man Should Know" and they are pretty good little books. This one is a sad addition to those. Not funny, you're better of going to the dollar store and buying a joke book there.

2.0 out of 5 stars Give it a miss!
I was disappointed. Some 50 (mostly stale) jokes contained in a tiny book that you can read cover to cover in a single sitting isn't my idea of entertainment! It's not worth the money!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality not quantity
The ultimate joke book for any guy to read. This is a collection of only the smartest and well crafted jokes that appear to have been carefully selected, considered and then passed on.

I read this book after readingBob and Brenda's Joke book and Bob and Brenda's new Joke Book. I thought nothing could beat these books but Dirty Jokes is excellent. Well worth a buy.
