helmo CreditAttribution: helmo commentedI won’t help you put more crap online.
There is a good reason Google dislikes copied articles... It's because they’re not useful to the world.
So please spent some time to improve the world instead of building a tool to create more crappy text to distract bots and humans.
The only "useful" purpose for this module I can think of is changing a text as a practical joke.
But that could probably be done without a tied-in subscription service.

this would help around 5000 subscribers of articlespinner.in, of whom nearly 30% have Drupal sites. Currently these subscribers do the spinning manually by copying text to the spinner and pasting back to the site.
I agree, that spinned content maligns the web. But Google is more intelligent these days to determine the quality of the content from and push spinned content to the last pages. Whether this module gets approved or not, the content farms can not be stopped. They have more than this spinner :-)
If you have time for things that work for the betterment of the world, you could considering reviewing the 6.x version of this module

klausiRemoving review bonus tag, you have not done any manual review, you just posted the output of an automated review tool. Make sure to read through the source code of the other projects.

saitanay CreditAttribution: saitanay commentedklausi, why not you just do the same(read through the code) for this project and post your review here?

charlietoleary CreditAttribution: charlietoleary commentedI'm not sure if there is any rules or restrictions on what is allowed to be submitted here on drupal.org
But I personally would dis-encourage project status being granted to this module based purely on the fact that it directly utilizes a system that encourage users to copy other people's website articles and modify them to (fraudulently) boost Google rankings.
According to this Wikipedia article, "Article Spinning" may also conflict with the DCMA and other copyright laws.
Klausi, what usually happens to these sort of project applications? Is there a person who usually deals with these sorts of issues?

Project 2: http://drupal.org/node/1685484
As successful completion of the project application process results in the applicant being granted the 'Create Full Projects' permission, there is no need to take multiple applications through the process. Once the first application has been successfully approved, then the applicant can promote other projects without review. Because of this, posting multiple applications is not necessary, and results in additional workload for reviewers ... which in turn results in longer wait times for everyone in the queue. With this in mind, your secondary applications have been marked as 'closed(duplicate)', with only one application left open (chosen at random).
If you prefer that we proceed through this review process with a different application than the one which was left open, then feel free to close the 'open' application as a duplicate, and re-open one of the project applications which had been closed.

klausiI think this project violates the Drupal code of conduct: http://drupal.org/dcoc . "Any decision we take will affect users and colleagues, and we should take those consequences into account when making decisions. Drupal has millions of users and thousands of contributors. Even if it's not obvious at the time, our contributions to Drupal will impact the work of others."
And I think this project could negatively impact the reputation of Drupal. If Drupal is associated with content farms it could result in lower search engine ratings for any Drupal installation. We as a community can refuse to support and host such content farm modules on drupal.org.
Leaving this open for others to chime in.

saitanay CreditAttribution: saitanay commentedSorry for the duplicate application. but I was not aware that we are not supposed to have multiple applications for different projects.
Also i feel the other project I mentioned, is a derived module and it might not have much new codebase, that is worthy of giving its contributor git access. (Another rule which I had stumbled upon after the first application).
Article Spinning is no porn. But if the community still feels this might harm the community at large due to this module, I do not mind closing this project application.
Currently closing this application marking as a duplicate of
