Video Of Cooper, Adorable Boy Hearing Parent's Voice For The First Time, Goes Viral (VIDEO)

Video Of Boy Hearing Parent's Voice For The First Time Goes Viral

Although it was first posted in October of 2011, heartwarming footage of Cooper, a boy diagnosed as "profoundly deaf" hearing his parent's voice for the first time has resurfaced on the Internet -- sparking waves of happy tears web-wide.

According to YouTube user lklascala1, Cooper received two cochlear implants which allowed him regain most of his hearing.

The most powerful part of the video comes when Cooper gasps in reaction to hearing his mother talking.

According to lklascala1, most children who receive the implants only pick up sounds such as taps on the table at first, so they "got lucky" with Cooper's response.

For an equally powerful video, watch Texas mother Sarah Churman hear her own voice for the first time when she was being fitted with an Esteem hearing implant.
