Juncadella stays on with Prema

Daniel Juncadella has re-signed with Prema Powerteam for this year's Formula 3 Euro Series

The 19-year-old Spaniard raced with the Italian team last season, winning the season finale at Hockenheim and finishing eighth in the standings.

"I'm extremely happy to be back with Prema," said Juncadella. "After a learning season, my goal is now to win the championship, though I reckon many factors will come into play for that.

"Let's say I fully expect to be constantly among the top three. It's really important to stay put and keep working with Prema, because I'm fully aware of the team's technical potential and I've built great human relationships with each one of the members."

Prema boss Angelo Rosin added: "I'm really pleased to have Juncadella available for another season. In 2010, when he joined our team, he was coming from Formula BMW Europe and did a sensational job, as he learned fast and proved able to get great results, like the stunning win he scored at Hockenheim, in his maiden year in the series.

"I strongly wanted him on board for 2011 too, in order to complete the project we started together, and because I think he has all the right chances to be among the best men of the pack, and to bring Mercedes back to the top."

Juncadella will contest the full FIA F3 International Trophy with Prema, also taking in the Masters at Zandvoort and the Macau GP.

The team says it will announce its full driver line-up shortly, as two more drivers will be confirmed for 2011.
