NVDA keyboard commands

Introduction

The following list of keyboard shortcuts should be helpful to a wide array of individuals and can be used as a quick reference guide. First, this guide will help NVDA users navigate within Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Note: The letters NVDA in the following lines stand for the Insert Key.

NVDA + B Reads the entire foreground window (useful for reading a dialog box)
NVDA + T Announces the title of the current foreground window
Alt plus Control plus N Opens NVDA
NVDA Plus control Plus g
Opens general settings dialogue
Control plus NVDA plus C
Saves the current configuration.
Control plus NVDA plus R
Restores the previous configuration
NVDA + Q Quit NVDA

Reporting System Information

Report date/time
NVDA+f12
Pressing once reports the current time, pressing twice reports the date
Report battery status
NVDA+shift+b
Reports the battery status i.e. whether AC power is in use or the current charge percentage.
Report clipboard text
NVDA+c
Reports the Text in the clipboard if there is any.
