A disabled little boy from Fresno can't get around, because thieves stole his family's van and inside the van were his wheelchair and special car seat.

6-year old Jordan has cerebral palsy and while he can walk, he needs his wheelchair to get around.

When his mom went to take him to school Tuesday morning, she noticed right away that her parking spot was empty.

"Something didn't feel right, so I walked back into the house," says Amber Richardson, whose handicap van was stolen, "I'm like the car is missing, the car is missing, and then from there I didn't even know what to do."

Replacing the van, wheelchair and car seat is expensive and it takes a long time to replace.

"I don't have the means to just go out and buy another car," adds Richardson, "So, it makes it a little more difficult."

Without a car Richardson also can't take her son to therapy and doctor's appointments. Simple things like going to the grocery store are also difficult.

"If you have it or know where it's at, can you just leave it and let the police get it, so I can have my car back," says Richardson.

The van is a white, 2001 Dodge Charger. The California license plate number is 0B27822. If you have any information call the Fresno Police Department at 559-621-7000.
