Johannesburg - A 25-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his mentally ill cousin at Helenia farm near Lichtenburg, North West police said on Sunday.
Sergeant Kealeboga Molale said the man allegedly raped a 22-year-old woman on Friday afternoon.
“It is alleged that the victim was at her home when the suspect called her outside. When she went outside, the suspect grabbed her and forced her to a nearby field where he raped her.”
Molale said the woman told her mother about the incident and she reported it to the police.
“The suspect was arrested on Saturday and he will appear at the Lichtenburg Magistrate's Court on Monday.” - Sapa
