Opening statements are expected this morning in the trial of a Louisville mother accused of abusing her special needs child.Mobile videoProsecutors say Rachel Tipton abused the child for months.A jury was seated on Monday.Tipton faces three counts of criminal abuse.According to the indictment, the 29-year-old abused her son from January until May in 2013.The boy, who was adopted from Ethiopia, was 4 at the time.
