3 charged with disabled woman’s assault

Three Pawtucket men have been indicted on charges that they sexually assaulted a mentally disabled woman who had gone missing from Cumberland earlier this year. State prosecutors said Friday that Antone Perry, 50; Juan Evora, 43; and Evan McLain, 21, each face one count of first-degree sexual assault. Prosecutors say that the woman was sexually assaulted from Aug. 27 to Sept. 9 in Pawtucket. Perry and McLain are being held without bail and are scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 28 in Providence County Superior Court. Prosecutors say Evora is being held in Massachusetts, where police arrested him in October on warrants from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Virginia. His arraignment has not been scheduled. It is unclear whether Evora and McLain have lawyers. (AP)
