The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force tracked down David Haddad, 56, after several complaints were made – one by a relative and at least one other by a person known to him – for harassing them by phone and scribbling anti-Semitic symbols on apartment doors.

“He told detectives he’s Jewish but not practicing,” one source said.

Haddad, a building manager who lives on 8th Ave. in Chelsea, was arrested at his job Monday after the task force traced at least one of his phone calls, police saidPOl. He was charged with aggravated harassment as a hate crime, police said.

The bias criminal first struck on Dec. 11 around noon when he repeatedly called an 80-year-old Brooklyn woman at her home and threatened her while spouting anti—Semitic epithets.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 10, cops said, Haddad called a woman and threatened her in her Chelsea apartment building, where cops also found racist graffiti on five apartment doors and along the hallway of the residence.

Police believe he may also be responsible for the spree this past weekend including spray-painted swastikas and the words “Die Jews” on garage doors on E. Fifth St. in Midwood, the source said.

Hashem is sending us a message – the true enemy lies within each and every one of us (the yetzer hora). The enemies we encounter in this world are merely a manifestation of what we have created within ourselves. Salvation will come not from weapons, self-defense, the police, or other wordly means, but rather from Hashem – when we cleanse ourselves of our sins and return to Hashem with all of our heart.

Probably hired by those who torched their cars so they could blame it on anti semitism.

Is anyone surprised by this, not me . Let’s see if he’ll be prosecuted as if a Non Jew had committed this HATE CRIME.Or will the usual excuses be made about him being mentally ill and needing help more than prison.

Sure its sad that a fellow Jew allegedly did this, but every community has their psycho’s, and its a very common situation in law enforcement, this idea of people setting up their crimes to look like a different race or religion did it, I mean masque burning’s in Israel, blamed on settlers, but actually burned by fellow Arabs.
There are many such examples all over the world, the FBI has agents, who’s whole job, is to create criminal profiles for these type of cases.

A mental case. Normal people don’t behave this way. And any normal person recognizes that this has nothing to do with one’s race or religion. Every nation on this planet has their crazies. Those who will find ways to tie his acts to his (supposed) Jewishness need no excuse for their anti-Semitism. Baruch Hashem he’s been caught. Some people will sleep better tonight.

“He told detectives he’s Jewish but not practicing,” one source said.”

Wow. Sad that one of your own, is doing such horrible things like this! Not to mention, the horrible memories & bad feelings this must conjure up for all of the victims of the Shoah, who had to look at Nazi symbolism day in & day out, during that dreaded time!

I cannot believe this is happening from w\in you. It makes me so sad…

All I can do is pray for each & every single one of you! Pray that your community remains strong & that you all remain united against the forces of darkness within yourselves, as well as from the outside.

I hope that you all stay safe! And may G-d have mercy on the man who did these horrible things… because I sure don’t feel like giving him any & I can’t imagine anyone else who feel like doing it either.

He obviously has a lot of self-hatred w\in his heart. He needs to get right w\G-d. What else can be said??

Every ethnic group has its share of deviants, misfits, weirdos, psychos, criminals, etc. Whenever these individuals are identified, their ethnic heritage should not be swept under the rug. Such miscreants should be dealt with, and they should not be excused, or apologies made for them.

So where are all the Hannity wanna-be’s who were blaming the recent anti-Jewish acts on President Obama’s supposed anti-Semitism and anti-Israel policies???

    Your silence is deafening.

Funny how everyone is jumping to conclusions, You will all see when all is said and done that this man is innocent.
I guess “Innocent Until Proven Guilty” or “Dan Lekav Zechus” are foreign ideas to some commenter’s here……….perhaps it’s some commenter’s who are mentally ill
Please give your fellow Jew at very least what this great country give all its citizens , that they are innocent until proven guilty.

All it says he allegedly did was make a harassing phone call ( perhaps to some lady who wronged him, perhaps there was no anti semitic remarks either and the 80 year old lady misreported it ) …..Way to go to throw him under the bus knowing nothing yet.
