NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- A Hermitage couple with an Autistic child who is non-verbal is afraid management will evict them.

The only way their 6-year-old child can communicate is with her body, which has their downstairs neighbor complaining because of noise. "It just sounds like wrestling matches from room to room," the neighbor says.

The family says they told Burning Tree Apartments management they are doing everything they can, but claim management has told them it might be better if they look for other housing. FOX 17 spoke with management during our report and they stated the family is on a waiting list for a first-floor apartment and they are not in danger of losing their apartment..

The Tennessee Fair Housing Council says those with disabilities cannot be discriminated against and advised if things go down that road the family should speak with an attorney.
