I'm currently running a competition for the name of the texture pack. 'Mitchell's HD Texture Pack' is only a temporary name. So, I want to hear your suggestions! The best ones will be put in a poll on this forum and then the public can decide. I will fully acknowledge the names in the poll and afterwards.
So, what have you got?
Welcome, one and all. Let me introduce myself. My name is Mitchell and I am a 14 year-old student who enjoys playing MineCraft. Over the past few weeks, through the school holidays, I have been designing and creating my own HD 128x128 texture pack for MineCraft. This is my first ever texture pack, and I have learnt a lot. I am proud to announce that the terrain and most of the interface is complete! I have been working extremely hard, and now wish to present the texture pack to you!
About the Pack
Mitchell's HD Texture pack is a texture pack that improves the game's visuals immensely, boasting lovely high-quality textures in order to make your MineCraft experience as enjoyable as possible. The pack also benefits from simply stunning water and lava animations, as well as a beautiful interface. Enough talk - I'll let you see it for yourself!

You can install my texture pack like all other HD texture packs. Here are the steps:
1. Download the texture pack, using the link above. 2. Download the HD patcher for MineCraft at this link: http://www.minecraft...-hd-fix-210-02/ 3. Run the pacther after downloading and press 'patch' (making sure the HD textures and HD font boxes are ticked). 4. Put the texture pack into the 'texture pack' folder, located where all your other MineCraft documents are. 5. Open MineCraft and select it from the 'texture packs' menu. 6. Play!
Work Still to Be Done
Whilst I have completed the terrain and most of the interface, I have still got a lot left to do. As such, I will keep you up-to-date in this section.
Credits For a Few Textures
Whilst almost all of the textures were made myself, I have used textures from other artists for mostly temporary use. A big thank you to the following texture packs:
The Pepness Pack (leaf textures)
Misa's Pack (brilliant mob textures)
Lb Photo Realism (sugar cane, wheat and bed texture, plus a lot of inspiration)
Sanguine's Pack (minecart rails) KD Studios' Pack (item icons [except for one, below], cacti textures and cracking animation) BumpMaft (boat icon within items.png)
Thanks a bunch, guys!

Good Job overall it just doesn't really look like you took that much time in the flowers cutting out some of the white. So Spend a little more time on small detail like that and you should be fine. Other than that it's pretty good.

The only textures I used of Realism (as acknowledged in the credits) were the sugar cane, bed and wheat.
JUST because it is a realistic texture pack does not mean it is completely copied off someone else. You have just made the assumption based on the fact it is a realistic, high-detail texture pack.
I've downloaded this pack and played on it for a while It's amazing. In regards to your comment, if you had half a working brain, you'd know that only wheat, sugar cane and beds are used from LB Photo Realism, not "90%". As is explained above by the owner of the pack, it's a realistic pack. Other realistic packs may look similar (being realistic and all), but not the same.
Next time, it might be wise to actually check first, rather than making a fool of yourself.
nice work so far, here's some constructive criticism
- the high contrast and sharpness create a grainy look when viewing some of the textures from a distance. (such as stone/dirt)
- some of your textures could use some work on the tiling. (you should try to make them more seamless.)
there's my 2 cents. keep at it though, i don't think you should consider the terrain completed quite yet.

Neither the grass or water was copied of LB Photo Realism. I wish people would stop accusing me of copying things. The grass was from a texture I found on the internet, which I made seamless. The water was made with the same program that the LB Photo Realism water was made with. I did not copy their one; I made my own using the program. As I have said before, JUST because it is a realistic texture pack does not mean it is completely copied off someone else. People have just made the assumption based on the fact it is a realistic, high-detail texture pack.
I used the "extract to" file in WinRar for your texture pack, straight to the texturepacks file in .minecraft. I went on Minecraft and it didn't show up. What do I do? The entire thing. Pictures and all, not that pictures would affect anything.
