Two arrested for raping deaf and speech impaired woman

The Karnataka police arrested two people for allegedly raping and killing a speech and hearing impaired woman in Bagalkot, central Karnataka.

According to the Bagalkot police, Haroon Rashid (33) and Basheer Ahmed (45) were arrested on the suspicion of raping and killing Usha Joshi (36). The incident took place near Rampura in Bagalkote district.

The police said that Usha was last seen in the company of the duo, who lured her under the pretext of helping her in securing a job. However, they took her to an isolated place near Rampura where they raped her. Later, they allegedly strangulated her to death and disposed the body in a field.
