Early Morning Teen Shooting on Quintana Street

A 17-year-old boy suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Prince George’s County Police are investigating an overnight shooting in the Riverdale Heights section of the county.

County Police, along with units from Prince George’s County Fire Department, received a call for a shooting around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, in the 5700 block of Quintana Street, just off of Kenilworth Avenue.

Police and fire units arrived on the scene and located a teenaged male, around 17-years-old, with a gun shot wound to his upper body.

The man was transported to a local trauma center in serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.

The cause of the overnight shooting is still under investigation.
