An explosion at a bus station in northern Nigeria has killed at least 20 people.
The blast Monday hit the Sabon Gari area of Kano, the region's biggest city. Witnesses say it destroyed several buses at the station, which is frequented by passengers travelling to and from Nigeria's largely Christian south.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
The Islamist militant sect Boko Haram has carried out frequent attacks in Kano targeting soldiers, police, government officials and Christians.
