#hisouten will be holding a poll on a new moderating team starting at 00:00 EST on 6 December 2015 and ending at 23:59 on 13 December 2015. Slightly different from the current system, all members of the new moderating team will be elected, meaning the new moderators will not be able to assign further operators (OPs). The new moderating team will be composed of 5 OPs, namely 2 from Europe (EU), 2 from North America (NA), and 1 from Asia & Australia (AS).

NOMINATION
Nomination of candidates for new moderating team will be accepted from now till 30 November 2015. Self nomination will be accepted. If you nominate yourself, endorsements from two other _regular_ users in #hisouten are required; if you nominate someone else, then only one such endorsement is required. One way of getting endorsement is to voice up in channel about the candidate, getting the endorsement(s) there, then pm me with the relevant channel log which I will later validate. I will confirm your nomination given that it fulfills the requirement above. If you do not receive my acknowledgement after 3 days, please contact me again to check.

VOTE
Each person can cast a maximum of 5 votes, i.e. maximum 2 for EU candidates, maximum 2 for NA candidates, and maximum 1 for AS candidates. Do _not_ attempt to cast repeated votes as my script will automatically reject those votes; manual checking will also be carried out on the votes after the poll closes to see if there is any vote coming from users that are unheard of. Candidates are allowed to vote on themselves. Current council members have been automatically listed as candidates, therefore the final list of candidates is:

EU: GoingUP, Zaton, SpikeSpiegel, Iona (aka Remi)
NA: Remilia-Scarlet, Trey15, Tessiro, Ruinan_Ding, Yaffy
AS: FearNagae, ChefMKT

To make this voting exercise as fair as possible, all banned hosts will be removed during the last week of November so that previously banned users can also participate in nominating, endorsing and voting. However that does not mean no users will be banned from that point onwards till the poll closes - if you break the channel rules, including continuous nagging for other users in the channel to vote for a specific candidate, you might be banned (again) and lose your chance in participating in voting.

Q: Can I not nominate someone from South America?
A: Yes you can. If someone from South America is nominated, he will be put in NA basket.

Q: What if I like the current system?
A: If I do not receive a single nomination by deadline, that means everyone is happy with the way it is and the current system will continue. (UPDATE: apparently this is not the case anymore, nominations have come in)

Q: But I really like the current OPs!
A: Then vote for them so that they will get to stay!

Q: Why are you holding this poll anyway? Are you playing "democracy game" because someone complained?
A: No, that's totally not the reason. It has been 3 years since the last poll, some players have become more active and new blood has joined during this period, so I had been thinking of holding one to give the new active players a chance of joining the moderating team. The new OPs are not just there to "mod"; they are expected to promote the game and the channel as well.

Q: I got nominated but I do not wish to become an OP. Can I retire from the list?
A: Absolutely. Just pm me at least one day before the poll opens and I will withdraw you.

Q: When and how do I vote?
A: You can find the poll's opening and closing times at the very beginning of this txt. After the poll opens, type "/notice guuchan !vote candidate1_nick optional_candidate2_nick optional_candidate3_nick ptional_candidate4_nick optional_candidate5_nick". For example, if you want to vote for the current OPs only, type "/notice guuchan !vote GoingUP Remilia-Scarlet Trey15" (without the quotation marks). You can only vote ONCE, so please put the nicks of all the candidates you want to vote for in one go. You can vote for a minimum of 1 candidate and a maximum of 5 candidates, i.e. maximum 2 for EU candidates, maximum 2 for NA candidates, and maximum 1 for AS candidates.
