Bloody Body Dragged Through Quiet Streets

This video claims to show supporters of the government dragging the body of a young man, stripped to his underwear, behind a car through the streets of Aleppo. It appears to have been filmed from a car driving behind the one dragging the body. At the end of the clip, the cameraman stands over the dead man and calls him a traitor. The dead man bleeds from his face, arms and legs. The cameraman stands with his back to the sun, and the silhouette of a smartphone held in his hand is clearly seen.

The government and rebel forces have fought each other to an apparent stalemate over the last several months in Aleppo, the largest city in Syria. This video was posted on Facebook by an antigovernment media organization, which identified the drivers of the car as supporters of President Assad.

We do not know the identities or political affiliations of the dead man, the driver of the car dragging him or the man filming this video. We do not know why the man was killed and dragged behind a car. We do not know when this video was filmed, although it was posted to YouTube on Wednesday.
