TRUMANN, AR (KAIT) – A caretaker was accused of terroristic threatening and abuse after taking care of a man who was mentally and physically handicapped.

According to an affidavit from the Poinsett County Sheriff's office, Marcella Ray Boswell, 59, was charged for abuse of an endangered or impaired person and terroristic threatening.

Boswell was a healthcare worker with Absolute Care Management and was staying with a patient for almost a year.

After a change of behavior in the patient, physicians told the mother to ask a healthcare worker to record her son when he started screaming and yelling.

Another healthcare worker was working alongside Boswell and recorded videos on her iPad.

In the video, Boswell was heard, "talking very aggressive" and at times yelling at the patient. The other healthcare worker could be heard telling Boswell to calm the patient by taking softly to him.

The affidavit also states Boswell told the patient, "in an aggressive tone that she is going to bring a board back tonight and bust his butt."

On a second recording, Boswell was heard threatening the patient to take him, "down to the water and drown his butt."

Boswell's bond was set at $25,000. Court documents show she bonded out of jail.
