All residents of a family care home have been moved to other facilities after an alleged case of abuse.On Wednesday, the Alamance County Sheriff's Office Special Victim Unit received a report of abuse of a disabled adult from the Alamance County Department of Social Services Adult Protective Services.ACDSS alleged that an employee of D&M Family Care Home in Burlington assaulted a 61-year-old woman in their care.The Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant Friday at the facility and arrested LaTonya Rena Smith and charged her with once count of felonious patient abuse.The facility of closed and all residents were moved to other facilities.
