PRINCETON – A longtime Princeton Record Exchange employee charged with sexually molesting a special needs teenager was offered a plea deal Wednesday by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.

Brian C. Dornbach met with the prosecutor’s office Oct. 16 for a status conference, Public Information Officer Casey DeBlasio confirmed. She said that normal items for that kind of meeting were discussed and a plea offer was put on the table.

Dornbach, 51, is accused of having molested a 15-year-old special needs girl for almost a year, from Jan. 2011 to Dec. 2012. The special needs of that girl have not been disclosed, DeBlasio confirmed. He posted $50,000 in bale at the time of his arrest.

On June 19, Dornbach was indicted on one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and eight counts of fourth-degree sexual contact. DeBlasio said he could face up to five years if found guilty.

An employee at the Princeton Record Exchange said he is no longer affiliated with the company.

The next status conference for Dornbach is scheduled for Dec. 13 at 9 a.m. in front of Judge Brown.
