A pedestrian was struck and pulled under a MAX train just before 4:30 p.m. at the Southeast Division Street station at 94th Avenue, TriMet reported.

The man was extricated from the train and has been taken to a hospital.

The extent of his injuries are unknown.

An investigation is continuing, but officials said preliminary information indicates that the man walked or ran in front of a southbound train as it was slowing on the approach to the station platform.
