A Lexington clerk fought back during an attempted robbery Friday night at a tobacco shop on North Broadway.

Zara Adil was working the cash register at Discount Tobacco Zone when two men walked inside. One of the men had a gun and demanded cash. While Adil opened the drawer, she noticed the man put the gun down.

“I picked up the gun and pointed it at the second guy and said you run or I will shoot you,” says Zara Adil.
