Fugitive Logan Storm's car found in downtown Los Angeles

Logan Storm

Authorities in Los Angeles have recovered a silver Volkswagen Jetta believed to have been driven by fugitive Logan Storm.

The car was found a few days ago by Los Angeles Police in downtown Los Angeles, said Eric Wahlstrom, supervisory deputy for the US Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force. Investigators checked out the car, which had its license plates removed, and recovered some items that Wahlstrom declined to identify.

Deputies are still looking for Storm's 1999 green Ford F-150 pickup truck with an Oregon license plate 726CKA.

Storm is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds and with brown hair and brown eyes.

Storm has been on the run for more than two weeks after cutting off his electronic monitoring bracelet late last month. He fled the area just hours after a federal jury found him guilty of possessing child pornography. The former Stoller Middle School math teacher was due to be sentenced in April.

Investigators ask anyone with information about Storm to call the U.S. Marshals at 503-326-2209.
