A Portland man tried to arrange the killing of one of his associates, police say.
Officers began investigating the alleged plot Tuesday and Mohdsidek Habibullah, 49, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of solicitation for aggravated murder, conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder. The unidentified victim was not injured and Habibullah's relationship with that person has not been revealed.
Habibullah will be arraigned in Multnomah County Circuit Court on Thursday. Police have not released more details in this case, which is still under investigation.
