Neymar will join Bayern Munich this summer, according to former Santos vice-president Vicente Cascione (Goal.com).

The Brazil international had been widely tipped to link up with Lionel Messi at Barcelona for next season.

But, if the reports are accurate, the 21-year-old, whose current deal with Santos ends next year, will instead follow former Camp Nou coach Pep Guardiola to the Allianz Arena.

I have this information first hand. Neymar has signed for Bayern Munich. It's already a done deal.

I am not speculating here. This information is irrefutable. From August this year on, the player will be part of Bayern's squad.

Beating Barcelona to the signing of Neymar would represent a major coup for the Bundesliga side after a season of successes at home and abroad.

Bayern clinched the German title several weeks ago after opening up a 20-point lead on second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

Jupp Heynckes' team also defeated Barcelona 7-0 on aggregate in the Champions League semifinals to hammer out a message of intent across European football.

Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze will also join Guardiola and Bayern this summer in a £32 million deal (BBC Sport).

Bayern have refuted the claims, with a club spokesman saying "this is complete nonsense," but Neymar voiced his interest in Bayern in February (Daily Mail) and the German champions have previously been linked with an £86 million move for the player (Metro).
