At the present time Ct does not have a statewide Boiler operator license. Some citys in Ct do require a license . A statewide license is being contemplated for the near future. The nearest chapter of the "National Association of Power Engineers" NAPE would be able to where you could apply for a boiler operators license or training.

If it is gas you need a licensed plumber.
If it is a hot water gas fired or oil fired you need a licensed plumber for the backflow preventor and waterlines and flue pipe connection. Of course you need a lmp for gas piping connection.you also need a lobi for oil connections.Large scale boilers using oil and gas need both Lobi contractors and Lmp for water and gas piping and flue piping can be installed by both!
