ANAHEIM – A disabled man was found in his home bound with duct tape by a neighbor Wednesday night after he was apparently robbed by at least two men, police said.

The man’s neighbor heard the 56-year-old disabled man yelling for help around 6:20 p.m. outside his home in the 800 block of West Wilhelmina Street.

Officials said the neighbor went into the disabled man’s house and found him tied up near or on his wheelchair, police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

The homeowner told police he saw two men, and heard a third, enter his home with handguns before they threw him on the ground face down and bound his wrists and ankles with duct tape.

Authorities said the man said a large amount of cash was stolen from the home.

A detailed description of the robbers was not available, Wyatt said.

The disabled man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS or occrimestoppers.org.
