BOONEVILLE, N.C. — A Yadkin County man is accused of assaulting his handicapped mother in her wheelchair.
Terry Scott Waddell Jr, 32, of Boonville, was arrested earlier this week and charged with one count of felony assault on a handicapped person.
Deputies said they responded to a home Sunday in Boonville and found the victim covered in blood sitting in her wheelchair.
Yadkin County deputies said the victim was attacked by her son, who lived with her. The victim said they had an argument.
The suspect was jailed under a $7,500 secured bond and has court planned for Jan. 28.
