Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel Grows New Stirrups

The wife and son were at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom today with some friends. The friend’s son wanted another ride on Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel before they left for back home. When they got there a new discovery was made.

Check out these new stirrups for the horses. They weren’t there a few days ago. But now each horse on the outer ring of the carousel features these step-up stirrups.

Here’s what they looked like before.

My friend said this was the first time she’d been able to ride the carousel in years. The old way was too difficult to get up on the horse with her bad back, but the steps made it easy. I suspect it also makes it easy for kids to climb up on their own if they have parents who can’t quite lift them anymore.
