Big news continues to flow out of Gamescom in Germany, this time with NCsoft and AreaNet releasing the very first teaser for their MMO Guild Wars 2. Hit the jump to watch the first 4:50 minutes of footage from the game.
After going over the some of the lore from the game—which takes place 250 years after the original Guild Wars—the trailer shows off some of the varied and numerous areas to be found in the game. Aside from the animated intro, all of the footage consists of real-time gameplay.
The official Guild Wars 2 site provides a few additional details on the game: it will be an MMORPG, it won't have subscription fees, it will be a PC exclusive, it will be solo-able, and it will be released "when it's finished."
More details on the lore and races will be released later this year, while gameplay information is due to be revealed early next year. Stay tuned for details.
