"App Store" in iTunes not functioning. It is acting like a broken hyperlink.

The "link" for "App Store" in the iTunes Store (v10.4) seems broken. It just loads a blank page when it's clicked. Below are the screen shots depicting the problem I'm having.. Anyone else have this problem or have an idea what's causing it?

Ok that tells me for sure that it's on their end. I just uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it.. I'm still having the same problem. I'm not sure how those buttons work, but it seems like they're glorified hyperlinks. The whole iTunes Store acts very much like a website, and it seems that the "App Store" page is down.. I wonder if anyone from apple ever actually reads these posts..

Same here, no response from the App Store button on itunes, but when i try to access appstore on my ipad it partly works.

Featured seems to work, along with Categories, Purchased and Updates

Under 'Genius Recommendations' - ipad Upgrades seems to work, but iPad Apps doesnt come up with anything, and seeing as I have close to 400 apps something is seriously wrong

I called Apple support today. This is what the solution they gave me is.

1- Download itunes 10.4.0.80 (the latest version of itunes)

2- while downloading it , Uninstall the old version of itunes you have (or just uninstall iTunes if you are already running 10.4.0.80

3- Uninstall Quicktime also

4- Uninstall Apple software update

5- Uninstall Apple mobile device support

6- Uninstall Bonjour

7- Uninstall Apple application support

8- Reinstall iTunes 10.4.0.80

Apple Tech said you HAVE to uninstall in this order. After I did this, the App Store started working correctly. The only question I have, is how could it do it to so many of us, on the same day. I have another computer in the same room as this one.. This morning, after I got off the phone with Apple, I turned it on, and low and behold, the same problem.. I think it's probably a bug in this version of iTunes. What ever, it works now, and now we know how to fix it.

I agree! I am suprised that with as many of us that are having issues with this, that Apple has not addressed this with a "fix" or "patch" or whatever????????? I am equally surprised that Apple support had us UNINSTALL and REINSTALL everything?????????? If more than one of us is having this issue; and it happened at the same time, there must be a BUG somewhere?!?!?

I am very leary of plugging in my iPhone at this time and syncing it, because I'm not sure exactly WHAT is wrong?!?!?

I don't know.. The Apple rep is supposed to call me back in about an hour. When he does, I'll let him know that there's still people having issues. He was adamant on uninstalling them in that EXACT order.

Here's their number, since it's such a nightmare to find.

I originally thought it was a problem on their iTunes Server like a broken hyperlink or something. Now, I'm thinking it's actually client side in this new version of iTunes. There are too many of us having the problem, all on the same day, for it to be our individual computers.

Just saw this on another thread.

The suspect program is a recent build of Apple Application Support. Both the QuickTime 7.7 and Safari 5.1 updates include the updated build so installing either of these, as prompted by Apple Software Update, might have caused the problem on both of your computers. Of course there may well be more to it. I only had a problem with the Purchased histroy page, not the whole store, but uninstalling everything Apple and then just installing iTunes 10.4.0.80 has been a solid fix.

They're starting to figure it out it looks like.

Makes sense now.. I installed Safari 5.1 yesterday afternoon to play around with it.
