Warner Brothers

While we're still waiting for Comic-Con to announce the full programming schedule for this year, Warner Brothers has released their line-up to press already. In addition to confirming that they'll be bringing Sherlock Holmes, Jonah Hex, The Box, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Book of Eli, Where the Wild Things Are, The Final Destination, and Robert Rodriguez's Shorts, they have also confirmed that Hall H has been converted to 3D for multiple presentations this year (which is great news for James Cameron's Avatar). Read on for the preliminary details and timing for Warner Brothers three big Comic-Con 2009 panels!

Thursday, July 23rd from 3:30pm to 4:30pm: The Final Destination 3D Showcase Presentation
Confirmed talent includes producer Craig Perry. It's likely we'll see other young cast members as well.

Friday, July 24th from 10:15am to 12:30pm: Warner Brothers Presentation - Where the Wild Things Are, The Book of Eli, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Box, Jonah Hex, and Sherlock Holmes
Talent is not confirmed yet, but I bet we'll see Spike Jonze, Denzel Washington, Richard Kelly, Cameron Diaz, Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, and maybe Robert Downey Jr., though he might only doing Iron Man 2.

Friday, July 24th from 1:45pm to 2:45pm (in Room 6DE): Q&A with Robert Rodriguez on Shorts
Other talent besides Rodriguez hasn't been confirmed, but expect to see other cast members from Shorts.

We expect Comic-Con to release the full programming line-up within the next few weeks, so stay tuned for that announcement as well. Given that surprises always go over very well down in San Diego, I have a feeling that the first panel for The Final Destination and maybe even the second one will have some big surprises, so both of these are not to be missed. I'm looking forward to that second presentation and getting some good looks at The Book of Eli, The Box, Jonah Hex, and Where the Wild Things Are especially. We'll also be trying to score some exclusive 1:1 interviews with some of talent. Can't wait for Comic-Con!

I would like to meet Spike Jonze. Maybe I'll make the drive and try to sneak in!

NOTHING for Ninja Assassin?! The movie comes out this November, yet the studio hardly seems to care at all! Considering how much it must have cost them, I'd expect them to put some effort behind selling it for crying out loud!!

Man I can't wait for Where The Wild Things Are, Sherlock Holmes and Nightmare On Elm Street hopefully they don't give us some terrible version of Elm Street like they did with the new Friday The 13 garbage.

my plans were to go to san deigo for comic con but then there was this recession so i opted for nyc comic con instead.which by the way is growing. I imagine in a couple of years when the economy is better the film companies will make the trek out to ny...hopefully. guys please dont let me down on the Tron 2 trailer when you find out whats up...please try to post it.i dont care if its a bootleg image.

Ninja Assassin had a panel last year, remember? I think at that time they expected the movie to be released in March, then it got pushed back to summer, now I hearing for the first time this coming November... wonder whats the hold up? It would suck if the film got limited promotion before it's release. That's the way things seem to be going so far.

Yeah, I really wish WB would bring Ninja Assassin to Hall H again this year..it was HOT! but it really needs to have the trailers in theaters and adverts NOW!! This movie has been so postponed for months...I really feel the adverts need to begin NOW during these summer months....Can't wait to see RAIN!!!!!!!!!
