Lubbock man accused of sexually abusing disabled family member

A 56-year-old Lubbock man accused of sexually abusing a mentally disabled family member was indicted Tuesday by a Lubbock County grand jury.
Joe Nathan Brooks is charged with a first-degree felony count of aggravated sexual assault of an elderly or disabled person.
Lubbock police arrested Brooks on April 5 after family members reported the abuse, claiming he performed a sexual act on a disabled 31-year-old family member against her will.
Brooks remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center. His bond is set at $10,000.
